ST52 Pipes

Carbon Steel  /  Seamless Pipes

ST52 Pipes

ST52 Pipes are high-strength carbon-manganese steel pipes and tubes produced to the German DIN standards — DIN 1629 St 52.0 for seamless circular tubes and DIN 2391 St 52 for cold drawn precision tubes (now EN 10305-1 E355). With a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa, ST52 carries considerably more load than ordinary carbon steel pipe while remaining easy to machine and weld.

Sarovar Tube Industries supplies ST52 seamless and cold drawn pipes from Mumbai for hydraulic cylinders, honed tubes, machine building and heavy engineering. Pipes are supplied in the normalised (+N) or cold drawn and stress relieved (+SR) condition with close OD and ID tolerances, backed by EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificates.

Standard DIN 1629 / DIN 2391 / EN 10305-1 / EN 10297-1

Frequently Asked Questions

ST52 is a high-strength carbon-manganese steel grade from the German DIN standards (DIN 1629 / DIN 2391), now designated E355 under EN 10305-1. It has a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa.

ST52 has a higher manganese content and a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa compared with about 235 MPa for ST37, so it is used where higher pressure or load has to be carried with the same wall thickness.

Yes. Cold drawn ST52 tube in the +SR condition is the standard material for hydraulic cylinder barrels and is supplied honed or skived and roller burnished to ISO H8 / H9 ID tolerance.

Every consignment ships with an EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate covering chemical analysis and mechanical properties. Type 3.2 certification with third party inspection is available on request.
