SS 304 / 304L is the most widely used austenitic stainless grade, offering excellent corrosion resistance, formability and weldability for a broad range of process, hygienic and architectural applications. 304L, the low-carbon variant, resists carbide precipitation during welding and is preferred for as-welded service.
